Blog Post (Strobe & Glow)

Unlike contouring, strobing is all about highlighting and illuminating your complexion. Think highlighting without creating depth. Strobing uses light-reflective products on all the high points of the face to create skin that looks light, bright and radiant. We find it more easier and more flattering than contouring.

The key to mastering this technique is using a light hand. Apply a little bit of product at a time and gradually build coverage if you want to amp up the shine; less is more.

MUA’S NEW Strobe & Glow Kit is designed to brighten and remove undesired shadows with this ultra-lightweight 2-in-1 wonder product. This beautiful, buildable product provides dewy, mermaid worthy skin in seconds.

How to Strobe:

Strobing is all about getting the perfect glow, so you’ll need to replenish dull, dry skin with a good moisturiser first.

Step 1

Start with an illuminating base, such as Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation. This is perfect for achieving flawless, dewy skin instantly!

Step 2

Conceal any imperfections by mixing moisturiser in with your concealer and buffing on to the skin.

Step 3

Apply the lightweight strobing cream to the upper cheekbone, temples, under the eyebrow and the bow of the lip.

Step 4

After you’ve applied the highlighter, blend it out with your fingers, a fan brush, or a damp makeup sponge.

Step 5

Use the illuminating powderto add further definition by applying to the lower cheekbones, bridge of the nose and above the eyebrow line to add a soft natural highlight.
