If you are avoiding items with alcohol for religious reasons you may still want to consider our other products which do not contain Ethyl Alcohol. Parabens are a synthetic chemical preservative - they help keep formulas free of bacteria of your fave makeup items. Did you know they can also be found in food items? Although they have got a bad rep in recent years due to a study on its
carcinogenic nature. This has been reviewed multiple times and has been deemed safe for use in cosmetics. They are actually really helpful to make sure your beauty items don't break down too quickly. We use them in mall amounts in our products, primarily two types of paraben: methylparaben and propylparaben.

A few of our items contain parabens - this actually under 10% of all of our products.
If you are actively trying to avoid parabens, the following MUA items that do contain parabens are as follows:

A sulphate is a chemical that can be found across many personal care items and is usually named Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate & Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate to name a few. They are usually derived from oils rich in lauric acid such as coconut and/or palm kernel oil. They are used in products to help bind ingredients such as oil and water together plus can create lather in things such as shampoo. Over the last couple of years, sulphates have gained a reputation for being potentially arcinogenic (cancer-causing) as a result of their manufacturing processes. As it stands, thereare no scientific studies to back this and it has been deemed safe to use under the EU regulations.

They have also be branded as being 'harsh' and 'stripping'- this usually happens as some poeple are sensitive to them in high amounts. We use them in very tiny amounts in only 5 of our products, which makes them very safe.

Currently only x5 of our items contain sulphates. If you are trying to avoid sulphates, the following items that do contain sulphates are as follows:

Essentially Mica is the stuff that makes your highlighter sparkle. It is a mineral that when ground down creates the dazzling, shiny powder. There are some bad practices out there when it comes to sourcing mica, of which we as a brand do not align with. This is why we work with our suppliers to ensure that all of our mica is sourced ethically from certified responsible raw material suppliers.

Palm oil is extracted from the fruit of the oil palm tree. The oil is widely found across the health and beauty sector and has many varients of name on an ingredient list.unfortunately, oil palm trees are farmed extensively and there are many studies showing the damage of this excessive overfarming across the globe.

Yes - the brush hairs are synthetic and are made of Polybutylene Tetrapthalate (PBT). The Glue used to stick down the brush hairs is also vegan.
