Why this matters...
The Get Lippy campaign is all about raising awareness of the 5 Gynae Cancers: Ovarian, Cervical, Womb, Vulva and Vaginal. Their aim is to prevent Gynae Cancers from developing in the first place, but if they do develop, they want to make sure they're detected early so more people survive the diagnosis.
These are topics that are often overlooked or not talked about enough, yet awareness and early detection can truly save lives. This initiative brings together inspirational speakers, health professionals, and communities to educate, empower and encourage open conversations about these types of cancers. It's a reminder of how important it is to stay informed, listen to our bodies and support one another.
They fund research in 4 key areas:
- Uncovering the causes if gynae cancers
- Predicting a person's risk of developing them
- Identifying how people can reduce their risk
- Improving their detection and diagnosis
