Pro Hacks: Shape Like An Artist
Conceal & Correct
Instead of applying concealer in a large triangle under the eye, try placing it strategically to brighten and lift the face.
Apply concealer to:
- The inner corner of the eye to neutralize darkness
- The outer corner of the eye, blending upwards towards the temple for an instant lifted effect
- The centre of the forehead
- The bridge of the nose
- The centre of the chin
Blend using a damp sponge or brush for a seamless finish!
For the most natural looking skin, use the correcting shades before concealer to neutralise discolouration rather than layering an extra product. Less product means a lighter, fresher and longer-lasting finish.
Pro MUA Trick: Leave your concealer to sit for 30-60 seconds before blending. This allows the formula to build extra coverage exactly where you need it.
Bronze & Sculpt
Think of bronzing and sculpting as 2 separate steps. Bronzing adds the warmth whilst the sculpting creates shadow and shape.
Apply bronzer first to the high points of the face where sun naturally hits:
- Temples
- Forehead
- Cheeks
- Jawline
Then apply the sculpting shades slightly beneath the cheekbones, around the jawline and along the sides of the nose to create natural-looking definition.
For best results, use a fluffy brush for bronzer and a smaller more precise brush for sculpting.
Pro MUA Trick: Sweep any left over bronzer across your eyelids and lightly over the bridge of the nose for an effortless sun-kissed effect.
Blush & Glow
Try one of this seasons biggest beauty trends - Blonzing.
Blonzing combines bronzer and blush placement to create a naturally sun-flushed complexion. Instead of applying blush only to the cheeks, blend it slightly higher and further out towards the temples, allowing it to overlap with your bronzer. Add a touch to the nose and forehead for a seamless, radiant finish that looks like you've spent the day in golden-hour sunshine.
Complete the look by applying highlighter to:
- The tops of the cheekbones
- The brow bone
- The cupids bow
- The bridge of the nose
For a naturally lifted effect, blend blush upwards towards the temples rather than concentrating it only on the apples of the cheeks.
Pro MUA Trick: Before applying highlighter, lightly sweep whatever remains on your blush brush across the nose and the temples. This creates a soft, naturally sun-flushed finish that looks beautiful both in real life and in photographs.
